Associated news for our Valley!

Our goal is to compliment local media by providing news of our valley on-line.

Land, water, power and border issues combined with our proximity to Baja California's capitol city Mexicali, makes for very interesting news. Imperial Valley is already being studied by governmental agencies making decisions about our future as well as businesses interested in operations in our area.

With broadband, Internet news from Imperial Valley can affect decision makers not only locally but also in Sacramento, Washington and throughout the world. Spectrum has teamed up with area news leaders to bring important Imperial Valley news on-line utilizing streaming/on-demand media. There will not be hard news stories. Stories will be factual and objective.

In the event a breaking news story arises, IVVNEWSDAY will cover the event live when possible. Participating media will have exclusive rights to all content with proper credit. Stories can be follow-up interviews to hard news stories. Many stories will contain "evergreen" on-demand content to continue to draw traffic to websites.

To build a following, live broadcast of events will be made available for on-line viewing. After the event it will be made available on-demand. Spectrum will edit, add character generations, compress and encode stories and upload them to "www.ivnewsday.com"

Associated media will provide a link to "ivnewsday" on their sites. "ivnewsday" will have links to participating media on it's site.

Spectrum will have videographers available for print media stories. Participating reporters may bring stories in on disc and use our studio teleprompter to read their story. Spectrum will incorporate an identity for each participating media. Participating television media will provide stories on DVD or DVCpro.
